Eid Mubarak

Image
Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. Eid ul-fitr should be a happy month for all of us. But I guess not everyone celebrates with happiness. People in Palestine are still being attacked and tortured by the cruel Zionist. Death toll increases. Whilst in Malaysia, some of us still suffer. Some still can't get over of something. Sadness instead of happiness overwhelms. And this happened to us too. Yes we woke up early so we could arrive at Nenek's house early. It's only a 5-minute-journey from our houses, that was why we didn't sleep at Nenek's place with the other relatives. As we arrived, the house was a bit quiet compared to years before. Happy faces outside, but sadness inside. I could really felt the sad aura as I stepped into the house. This is the first year we celebrate Eid ul-fitr without my beloved Datuk. Ya Allah, I miss him so much. If he were still alive, he would be the one who were very busy that morning! His loud voice orderin

Panduan Solat Hari Raya Aidilfitri / Aidiladha

Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. To be honest, I rarely go to the mosque to perform solat raya. But this year I managed to go! Weeeee *clap clap* And we (big family of Ibu's side) went there on foot! So before I start explaining and so on, do you really know how to perform Solat Raya? This solat isn't that complicated as you guys may think at first. I know I should write this post earlier but unfortunately I forgot hehe forgive me. So lets begin. Btw I got most of the infos by compiling from few websites.

Resipi Kuih Semperit

Assalamualaikum and good morning. Haha sorry for the spam (if you notice). Well I just transferred 26 posts from the new blog to this old blog. Why? How? Forget about it haha. Bcs today I'm gonna tell you another recipe which is ... Kuih semperit! Some of you may call biskut semperit but they're the same. INGREDIENTS: 300g butter 160g icing sugar / powdered sugar 100g corn starch (tepung jagung) 160g custard powder (tepung kastard) 240g wheat flour (tepung gandum) 2 egg yolks (kuning telur) DIRECTIONS: 1.  Cream butter and icing sugar until it is light and fluffy. 2.  Insert the egg yolks. 3.  Then add all types of flour which have been sifted (diayak). 4.  Mix them well altogether until it becomes a dough. 5.  If the dough is still sticky, add a bit more corn starch. 6.  Roll out the dough to your favourable thickness. 7.  Cut out rectangle shapes with a biscuit cutter (I lost mine so I just cut by using a knife haha). 8.  You may decorate with cherri

Malaysia Airlines MH17

Another heartbreaking news after the loss of MH370. I was scrolling the twitter timeline when someone tweet-ed bout Malaysian Airlines Boeing-777 crashed in Ukraine, near to the Ukraine-Russia border. The first thing came in my mind; "Eh is this about MH370?" No it wasn't.  It was about MAS MH17 which was on its journey from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur. It was really a heartbreaking moment. Too sad to think, Ams to KL hm mesti ada yang balik sebab nak raya, Ya Allah sedihnya. I know we still can't get over MH370 and here comes another sad news. "Why us?" Some may ask . But who are we to question? Kun fayakun.  Quoted from Qoran, Ya-Sin 36:82; "Verily, His command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it, "Be" - and it is!" Twitter (idk what's going on in other social networks) is really a mess right now. Well as usual, twitter is always a "hot" medium during time like this. It&

Book Review: She Wore Red Trainers

5 OUT OF 5 STARS Book review for this week; She Wore Red Trainers by Na'ima B. Robert. Maklang lent me this book few days ago. It's a Muslim love story. I was kinda curious before reading this novel. Curious on how can they love and meet each other. Curious on how can they make their relationship be a halal one. I was excited to know the ending part of this novel and it didn't disappoint me at all. Amirah meets Ali on a basketball court and love at first sight happens. Ali who has lost his mother does everything he could to establish himself as a good muslim in the community. He left his happy-but-full-of-sin old life, lowering gaze, avoiding fitnah, making himself busy with basketball and islamic activities etc. Amirah, a gifted artist who has also left her old life is the eldest sister in the family. She has to take care of her brothers and sister as her mother has problems. They can't stop thinking about each other but Amirah ha

Happiness?

What is happiness to you? How do you define happiness? How do I define happiness? Happiness isn't only about having big houses, buying expensive cars, being a brand-conscious, going overseas every month. Happiness is more than that. Happiness is seeing your parents' smiles. Happiness is making your family proud of you. Happiness is causing the happy tears to roll down on their cheeks. Happiness is loving people who love you. Happiness is organising a charity event. Happiness is buying ice creams for the orphans. Happiness is donating some money you have to the homeless. Happiness is providing good food and clean clothes to beggars. Happiness is giving fish to hungry cats. Happiness is sharing food with your friends. Happiness is being there for someone. Happiness is realising there are people who always support you. Happiness is rising back from a deep fall. Happiness is smiling sincerely to someone who hates you. Happiness is when someone asks &quo

Book Review: Kot Putih

Image
Assalamualaikum and good evening. A book review jeng jeng jeng! Haha so today I would like to share my opinions on a book entitled "Kot Putih". Ahh the title itself portrays people who wear white coats. A friend of mine gave this book to me. This book is actually written specially for Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) students. It's written by some of the former students there. It is a story about the journey of 5 medical students named Aki, Amran, Pit, Imah and Sofeya in JUST. Different characters, different hardships, different struggles. They changed to become better people. From lazy to hardworking. From hot-tempered to cool and calm, willing to say sorry. From selfish to kind. Being a medical student is not that easy. But in this book, their passions and how they survived encourage readers to be tough and keep on moving although you feel like you wanna stop everything what you have already started in medical school.

'Kek Batik' Recipe (English)

Image
I had tried few recipes before but I think this one is the best. I got this recipe from a friend of mine. Paling senang, simple, jimat and the most important thing; sedappp! Let's start with the ingredients first. 250g of butter (either buttercup or margarine) 1 tin of sweetened condensed milk (usually I use susu pekat manis F&N) 5 spoons of cocoa powder 1 packet of marie biscuits What's the procedures? Mix all of them and pour into a container. Haha alright I'll explain in a proper way. 1.  Beat the 250g of butter in a bowl. 2.  Add the condensed milk. (In this step you may reduce it if you want to. I'd seen somebody only use half of the tin, but I never try.. well maybe because I likeeeee sweet hehe. 3.  Then add the cocoa powder and stir well until all the ingredients are completely mixed together. You can use Milo, but its appearance isn't really as good as if you use cocoa powder. 4.  Patahkan all marie biscuits into 4 before adding them
